But first, some rules:
1. Your garage will only fit 3 cars.
Keep in mind that you probably want a daily driver.
2. Pick the chassis, engine, and color for each.
3. All cars and engines MUST be from the same decade.
*2000-2013 will count for a singular decade if the cars within question are within 10 years appart.
Thought you were getting away easy, huh?
Also, Pictures would be nice...

Proposed Amendment:
If you're going to pick a 2014 model, you can't also pick an '03 model.
Related: could it be any 10-year span?

Wat.
Why would you drop a less powerful engine into the P1? What is this?

1) Pagani Zonda Final Final Final Edition. In White.
2) Porsche 911 Turbo S for when I have to blend in. White.
3) Lexus LX570 for everything else. Yeah, probably White.
What can I say, it gets hot down here in Louisiana.

DD:
1960's Lincoln Continental, with some modern efficiency mods, like Turbos to eke a little more milage out of it. Modern interior appointments, like Bluetooth for music-streaming. Modern suspension updates as well. Probably air-bags, it fits with the car's style.
Track:
Porsche 912, with some Singer-esque mods to make it more fun.
Everything else:
Studebaker Wagonaire, with a V8 and 4WD drive swap from a 60's Off-roader.

Ooh difficult.
1. 1970 Alfa Romeo Montreal (3.0l Autodelta rebore), gloss white
2. 1973 Rover P6 V8 (3.5l injected engine from an SD1 Vitesse), BRG
3. 1971 Triumph GT6 (2.0l I6 built to spin to 8000rpm), white with Group44 stripes
...or...
1. 1973 Alfa Romeo Alfetta Saloon (3.0l Arese V6), yellow
2. 1972 Jaguar XJC (5.3l V12 tuned to 350bhp, silencer bypass butterflies), BRG
3. 1974 Lancia Fulvia 1600 (full HF spec), red and black
...or...
1. 1972 Triumph Dolomite Sprint (fuel injected 150bhp), white with vinyl roof
2. 1974 Maserati Khamsin (stock), bronze
3. 1971 Alfa Romeo 1300 Junior Zagato (2.0l Twincam), red
I could do this all day to be honest: Alfetta GTV, Alfasud, 2000GTV, Alpine A110, Aston V8 Vantage, BMW Bavaria, Challenger T/A, Ford Capri Perana, Fiat (and Ferrari) Dino, 131 Abarth, X1/9, , Iso Grifo 7 Litri, XJS V12, Jensen Interceptor, Beta Coupe, Stratos, Lotus Elan, Mazda RX-4, W113 280SL, MGB GT V8, 240Z, Olds Toronado, Porsche 914/6, Reliant Scimitar, Saab 99 Turbo, Toyota 2000GT, Stag, Spitfire, TR6, TR8, Volvo 144.
All of these were available to buy in the 70s, and any combination of which would make me a very happy man.
The 70s were such a great time for European cars, and the early years were pretty damn good for Americans too.

1. 1966-69 Jensen FF, it only came with one engine a 383 V8. Grey metallic wih black interior. This would be the DD, and the fact that it only came with RHD wont matter since my dream garage would be somewhere in Scotland.
2. 1969 Lamborghini Islero S. As with the Jensen this car only had one option enginewise, so it would be the 4 litre V12. I'd like one in green metallic and a white or tan interior.
3. 1969 Gilbern Invader Mk1. 3 litre ford essex V6 (again the only option). I'd like this in green with a black interior (I think). Edit: If motor swaps are OK, I'd drop the 3.5 Litre Rover V8 into this one (if there's room for it) Since that engine weighs much less than the Essex V6.
Yeah, 2 cars from the UK and one from Italy, I simply must hate myself. And if I'm completly honest I'm not 100% sure on the Jensen, it was either that or the Jaguar E-type but I really like the insanity of the Jensen FF. And in this case that trumps the beauty of the E-type. As for replacing the Gilbern with something else? Nope, not going to happen, it MUST be in that exact colour as well.

question... how does one add turbos to gain efficiency? Are we talking about fuel efficiency or volumetric efficiency?

A bit of both I suppose. I would want more low to mid-range torque, not a bunch more power. Since the engines have to be from the same decades, I can't swap a modern turbo diesel which is what I want to do if I ever actually had the means to build my dream Conti.
I know Leno had Gail Banks boost his Tank Car and it doubled his MPG. I'm not expecting to see the same gains, but a little more mileage would be nice. I'm not sure how much we are allowed to do. But If we can, I'd strip the engine down to the block and build it up from there for as good mileage as it could given how large and engine and car it is. It would be the DD after all.

That Gilbern Invader looks awesome!
I'm upset that I have never heard of it before.

Heh, every single time I mention Gilbern here on jalopnik/oppo at least one person says that. Gilbern made very few cars, and since they were made in Wales there's no wonder most people don't know about that manufacturer.
I love how it looks, I'm pretty sure they where quite rubbish, but I fell in love the first time I saw an Invader. But then again, I've got this obsession with obscure cars.
The way I see it I'm doing something right if I can show other people brands they've never heard about, I know how much I like to discover new cars and hopefully you do as well.

Those fuel economy gains had nothing to do with turbo charging, and everything to do with incorporating a modern fuel injection and ecu setup. Turbos cause more fuel to be burned by introducing more air. The only reason how they can potentially boost economy is by letting you use a smaller displacement motor.
